Abstract
Résumé Cet article examine les situations impliquant, de manière concomitante, des épisodes de violence conjugale dans des contextes où les besoins de base des enfants sont gravement négligés. Il passe en revue les connaissances actuelles sur les effets de la violence conjugale sur le développement des enfants et sur l’exercice des responsabilités parentales. Il présente une perspective écosystémique des situations de négligence envers les enfants qui permet de tenir compte de l’accumulation de facteurs de risque introduits par des épisodes de violence conjugale. L’article conclut en soulignant le rôle crucial joué par l’évaluation et l’analyse participative des besoins développementaux des enfants dans le cadre de l’élaboration de services intégrés auprès de ces familles.
