Abstract
The synthesis and characterization of palladium-loaded functionalized mesostructured silicates, designated as Pd-SHSBA-16 and Pd-SHKIT-6, are described. These solids were tested as heterogeneous catalysts for the Suzuki−Miyaura reaction. The materials were characterized by 29 Si NMR, 13 C NMR, nitrogen adsorption isotherms (BET-DFT), TEM, SEM, XRD, EDS, and ICPMS analysis. Pd(0) or Pd(II) complexes supported on the surface of functionalized mesostructured silica both displayed high activity for this important reaction.
