Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Quantum Monte Carlo simulations at zero temperature of an ensemble of $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ atoms adsorbed on Mg and Alkali substrates yield strong evidence of a thermodynamically stable liquid $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ monolayer on all Alkali substrates, with the possible exception of Li. The effective two-dimensional density is $\ensuremath{\theta}\ensuremath{\approx}0.02\text{ }\text{ }{\AA{}}^{\ensuremath{-}2}$ on Na, making it the lowest density liquid in nature. Its existence is underlain by zero-point atomic motion perpendicular to the substrate, whose effect is softening the short-range repulsion of the helium interatomic potential. The monolayer films should turn superfluid at a temperature ${T}_{c}\ensuremath{\sim}1\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{mK}$. No liquid film is predicted to form on Mg, or on stronger substrates such as graphite.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
