Abstract
Este artículo analiza las interacciones entre los militantes de los partidos polìticos de la izquierda chilena, llegados a Canadá a raíz del golpe de estado de 1973 y de la dictadura, y los partidos políticos canadienses, con los que entablaron relaciones. El estudio trata de establecer en qué medida los unos influyeron en los otros, tanto a nivel ideológico, organizativo o bien en las prácticas políticas, concluyendo que la influencia de los canadienses sobre los chilenos fue el elemento predominante.
