L’engagement des jeunes en situation de marginalité : une part d’ombre ?

Abstract
À partir des résultats d’une thèse de doctorat portant sur l’engagement de jeunes en situation de marginalité, cet article vise à mettre en évidence des formes d’engagement difficiles à appréhender. Étant discrètes, certaines prises de position inscrites dans la proximité, dans des gestes quotidiens automatiques, représentent en effet un enjeu d’invisibilité et posent un problème de conceptualisation. Or des jeunes expriment leur besoin de participer, en investissant ce que l’on pourrait appeler un espace d’engagement « intermédiaire » ou une « arrière-scène participative », comme ils développent une « stratégie de résistance » pour exister dans l’espace social. Notre objectif est de comprendre ces prises de position.
