Abstract
Ruptures sociales, recompositions identitaires et religieuses À partir d'une enquête ethnographique dans un milieu d'immigrants en Australie, cet article analyse la manière dont les individus, porteurs de leurs multiples appartenances, reconstruisent leur identité sociale, familiale et religieuse en situation de désaffiliation. En suivant la biographie singulière de la voyante-médium Yvonne, de la Tunisie vers l'Australie, l'auteur montre le lien entre des successions de ruptures sociales et symboliques et le développement de formes originales de spiritualité. On observe alors comment ces recompositions identitaires peuvent donner lieu à l'élaboration de pratiques religieuses originales, syncrétiques dans lesquelles tradition et modernité conjuguent voyance, transe, spiritisme et catholicisme, comment l'ordre et la continuité sont restaurés.
