Abstract
Les deux projets, l’Accord multilatéral sur l’investissement (AMI) et le Cycle de négociations du millénaire (Millenium Round), ont révélé les ambitions des promoteurs de la mondialisation économique et cristallisé une opposition latente à ce modèle de transformation. Cette opposition est analysée ici en abordant une question centrale : dans quelle mesure sommes-nous en présence d'un véritable mouvement social? Deux principaux objectifs sont poursuivis : premièrement, offrir une description détaillée de l’AMI, du Cycle du millénaire et de la mobilisation contre ces deux projets; deuxièmement, définir le conflit central au coeur de la lutte et s’interroger sur l’importance actuelle du mouvement.
