Abstract
Regards officiels canadiens sur la politique étrangère de la France gaullienne, 1963-1969 Les politiques étrangères du Canada et de la France ont peu de similitudes durant les années 1960. L’approche multilatérale, « intégrationniste » et supranationale canadienne et celle fondée sur la primauté des relations bilatérales, du fait national et de l’État-nation, que promeut de Gaulle, sont foncièrement discordantes. L’écart qui sépare les deux pays rend d’autant plus significatif le regard que le Canada officiel porte sur une politique étrangère aussi différente de la sienne. Les milieux officiels canadiens sont bien renseignés sur les fondements et la substance de la politique étrangère de la France gaullienne. Leur attitude est dépassionnée, souvent compréhensive, à son égard. Malgré les dissonances, le Canada doit avoir des rapports convenables avec la France car celle-ci est devenue un sujet de politique intérieure canadienne.
