RéSUMé Cette réflexion s’articule en trois mouvements. Le premier aborde la question de l’évolution de la précarité comme objet d’expérience. Le deuxième tente de montrer l’évolution des processus de base auxquels se livrent les jeunes en situation de précarité lorsqu’ils veulent manifester leur sentiment d’existence et les opérations au moyen desquelles ils parviennent à construire ce qu’ils appellent une « petite vie ». Enfin, dans le troisième mouvement, se pose la question de l’originalité des relations symboliques qu’ils expriment, étant entendu que cette réflexion se fonde sur l’expérience vécue d’une catégorie de jeunes dont les dispositifs situationnels de précarité portent à penser, au moins a priori, qu’ils se laisseraient plus facilement mener par les déterminations qui pèsent sur leur vie, qu’ils ne s’en écarteraient.
