Abstract
Cet article examine la façon dont les identités collectives syndicales évoluent ou se reproduisent à partir d’une étude de cas dans l’économie solidaire au Brésil. L’étude retrace les trajectoires de deux syndicats de la principale centrale brésilienne (CUT), qui ont fini par adopter des stratégies différentes pour développer les coopératives et représenter les travailleurs. L’analyse fait appel à une définition des identités collectives qui assimile celles-ci à des matrices cognitives et normatives susceptibles d’orienter l’action, comme le font les référentiels dans l’approche cognitive des politiques publiques. Les résultats indiquent que l’évolution des identités collectives a partie liée avec la construction des problèmes publics dans lesquels les acteurs syndicaux s’engagent selon diverses modalités d’interaction.
