Abstract
Résumé L’analyse des rapports entre les médias et le football fait clairement apparaître une entente tacite, un mariage de raison. La télévision, comme l’avait prédit Ernest Chamond en 1927, a transformé le match de foot en un spectacle sans équivalent en termes d’audience. Véritable financier du football, la télévision est avant tout un partenaire de « business ». Face à ce couple heureux, les journalistes cherchent leur place. S’ils sont promoteurs de spectacle à la Football et médias : un heureux mariage de raison télévision, ils donnent l’impression d’une plus grande indépendance en presse écrite ou en radio. Reste que l’émotion prédomine le plus souvent sur la réflexion.
