Abstract
Résumé En s’appuyant sur l’expérience d’une recherche-action participative menée dans un township historiquement « métis » situé à l’ouest de Johannesburg, le présent article s’interroge sur le rôle de la recherche-action participative dans la formation des psychologues et de leur pratique au sein de ces communautés issues de – et déchirées par – la violence systématisée durant trois siècles d’oppression. L’approche proposée répond à la fois à une nécessité croissante d’interventions auprès de populations à risque d’exclusion sociale et psychologique et aux difficultés d’ordre éthique et pragmatique qui se posent lorsqu’il s’agit d’entreprendre une médiation autour de la violence et des conduites à risques à travers les frontières « racialisées » qui découpent le paysage urbain et clivent les espaces imaginaires, sociaux et psychologiques du pays.
