Abstract
La présente recherche a pour objet la socialisation langagière d’adolescents urbains majoritairement issus de l’immigration. De nombreuses interactions montrent que, parmi les facteurs qui jouent un rôle dans l’accession au statut social de pair, et de certains traits langagiers, la spatialité vécue semble tenir une place non négligeable. De plus, les sujets identifiés comme leaders paraissent avoir une fonction d’affirmation et de représentation (presque au sens diplomatique du terme) d’espaces territorialisés qui ne correspondent forcément pas aux catégorisations exogènes, qu’elles soient administratives, journalistiques ou profanes. Je tenterai de déterminer dans quelle mesure et comment la constitution de territoire(s) et d’espaces de référence, leur investissement différentiel ainsi que les catégorisations et attributions qui y sont associées, participent, parallèlement aux pratiques langagières, des processus de construction et d’affirmation identitaires.
