Abstract
Cet article montre en quoi les politiques de qualité du littoral peuvent soutenir la mise en œuvre opérationnelle de la Gestion Intégrée des Zones Côtières (GIZC). Il s’appuie sur l’expérimentation, actuellement menée par le Pays Marennes Oléron dans sa partie insulaire, l’île d’Oléron, à travers la réalisation du plan d’action « Oléron Qualité Littoral » (OQL). L’auteur développe plus particulièrement trois volets: la construction et la mise en œuvre du projet de territoire et du plan d’action destiné à le réaliser; le rôle de l’intégration science-gestion dans la mise en pratique de la GIZC; les conditions et difficultés de mise en œuvre de la gestion intégrée.
