Abstract
La creciente globalizacion trae consigo una necesidad cada vez mayor de cooperacion internacional y la posibilidad de un renovado interes en el cosmopolitismo. La ensenanza para -incluso acerca de- el ocasiona problemas para los docentes en todo el mundo, pero es particularmente dificil para los profesores en Estados Unidos debido al actual resurgimiento del orgullo por el excepcionalismo estadounidense. Tras una breve discusion de los posibles beneficios y riesgos de ensenar el cosmopolitismo, explorare un enfoque que puede disminuir los riesgos y aumentar los beneficios. Este enfoque esperanzador podria denominarse cosmopolitismo ecologico (Noddings, 2012).
