Abstract
RÉSUMÉ La logique des échanges des fêtes d'hiver inuit Cette étude compare les têtes d'hiver des Inuit de la Terre de Baffin, montrant comment elles relèvent du même Field of Anthropological Study. Après avoir examiné les relations de don déployées à chaque étape d'une cérémonie du sud, nous les comparons avec celles des cérémonies du nord de la région considérée. Nous évaluons ensuite la constitution d'obligations réciproques entre les esprits et les humains dans le Tivajuut, ainsi que leurs propriétés spécifiques au regard des modèles anthropologiques sur le don, notamment la théorie de Marcel Mauss.
