Abstract
Résumé Cet article propose une synthèse des recherches pionnières et récentes consacrées à un comportement particulier de fréquentation des points de vente, souvent adopté par les consommateurs, mais encore peu étudié : le comportement de butinage. Qui sont les butineurs? Quels sont les antécédents du comportement de butinage? Quelles sont les conséquences à court et à plus long terme de ce comportement? Les réponses apportées à ces questions devraient permettre aux gestionnaires, et notamment aux commerçants, d’apprécier les avantages réels qu’ils peuvent retirer de la présence de butineurs dans les magasins et de déterminer les variables auxquelles ils pourraient avoir recours pour favoriser le comportement de butinage.
