Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est d’explorer l’utilisation combinée d’un modèle de localisation-affectation et du two-step floating catchment area et intégrée dans un SIG pour évaluer l’accessibilité aux services et équipements de santé dans les communes de Hinche et Thomassique de la région du Haut-Plateau Central en Haïti. Plusieurs études empiriques ont utilisé ces modèles soit pour évaluer la localisation des équipements de santé, soit pour améliorer l’accessibilité spatiale, soit à des fins de planification dans les pays en développement. À notre connaissance, aucune étude ne combine cependant ces modèles de localisation-affectation aux mesures d’accessibilité spatial et peu d’études ont mis en œuvre les modèles de localisation-affectation dans les SIG. Notre recherche repose sur une méthodologie qui cherche à montrer la complémentarité des mesures d’accessibilité et des modèles de localisation-affectation. Elle illustre l’intérêt et l’importance d’une telle démarche pour la planification et l’aménagement du territoire dans les pays en développement.
