Abstract
Le discours de George W. Bush est marqué, dans son contenu, par l’influence de la philosophie politique dite néoconservatrice, attribuée à Léo Strauss. Mais contrairement à la conception straussienne du rapport ésotérique/exotérique, le religieux n’y mobilise pas le politique. L’effet du discours de G. W. Bush, finalement plus schmittien que straussien, contredit son contenu apparent. Il témoigne, malgré le recours au religieux, d’un politique immanent.
