Abstract
L’auteur cherche à montrer que de nombreuses séries à succès des networks étatsuniens dans les années 2000 ont pour fondement un jeu de balancement idéologique par lequel elles visent une réussite commerciale. Il compare ici Desperate Housewives à Grey’s Anatomy, et Les Experts à Cold Case afin d’établir que leur degré plus ou moins élevé de balancement idéologique se joue soit dans le récit, soit dans la répartition des représentations sociales. Elles abordent un grand nombre de questions de société, parfois très sensibles dans l’opinion publique étatsunienne, ce qui rend ces séries encore plus dignes d’intérêt.
