Abstract
Les deux premiers récits d'Anne Cuneo, Gravé au diamant et Mortelle maladie répondent bien peu à la définition traditionnelle de l'autobiographie comme reconstitution d'une individualité cohérente et unique, mais se présentent plutôt comme la construction conflictuelle d'un sujet en devenir. Le présent article essaiera de montrer comment, dans Mortelle maladie , cette construction est liée à une expérience de la temporalité, qui ne se réduit ni à l'image d'un temps objectif (celui que dessinent les ressources narratives du texte), ni à l'illustration de quelque philosophie d'un temps vécu. L'interaction de divers plans de manifestation discursifs du temps (intrigue, narration et déploiement rythmique) offre une « réplique » (Ricoeur) singulière à l'énigme temporelle, qui est discursive, et donc inséparable d'une situation particulière, historique.
