Abstract
RésuméLes transformations que subit graduellement la page littéraire du Devoir, au début des années 1950, contribuent à réaménager le champ littéraire. Sous la responsabilité de Gilles Marcotte, ces changements s’effectuent en trois temps : d’abord, un espace accru est consacré aux auteurs québécois et à la critique de leurs oeuvres ; ensuite, la littérature se trouve inscrite dans la matérialité de la vie culturelle ; enfin, une prééminence est accordée à la poésie, qui devient le genre littéraire par excellence. Aussi, lorsque sont fondées les Éditions de l’Hexagone la poésie s’installe-t-elle sur la place publique.
