Abstract
En examinant, d’une part, les représentations de l’immigrant véhiculées dans le discours officiel des principaux organismes des communautés francophones minoritaires au Canada et, d’autre part, la présence d’immigrants en leur sein, cet article explore les liens entre représentations sociales et représentation politique. Sur le plan du discours, on constate une évolution des représentations de la place des immigrants au sein des communautés, partant d’une séparation qui souligne l’altérité culturelle vers une image inclusive ou un pluralisme intégré. Du côté de la représentation politique descriptive, malgré d’importantes disparités régionales, les immigrants sont surreprésentés parmi le personnel, mais légèrement sous-représentés au sein des conseils d’administration.
