Abstract
La part du don dans l'adoption Cet article propose une interprétation de la part du don dans l'adoption extra-familiale, au Québec dans les années 1990. Il analyse les valeurs et les représentations qui convergent pour exclure la notion de don d'enfant des pratiques légitimes. L'adoption tend ainsi à devenir une circulation de statuts parentaux et non d'enfants. Le système étatique qui l'encadre s'appuie sur une vision individualiste et instrumentale des liens de parenté. Les dimensions interreliées du modèle généalogique traditionnel sont alors envisagées sur des plans distincts, dissociés.
