Abstract
Cet article décrit la situation des classes multiprogrammes (CMP) entre 1994–1995 et 2000–2001 dans six commissions scolaires (CS). Il examine les rapports entre la réussite scolaire et la fréquentation des CMP. Les données ont été recueillies à l’aide d’un questionnaire et par la consultation d’une base de données sur la réussite scolaire. Des disparités importantes entre CS sont rapportées au regard de la proportion de CMP et de la réussite scolaire. Des résultats contradictoires sont obtenus en ce qui a trait aux relations entre la fréquentation des CMP et la réussite scolaire. En conclusion, certaines options méthodologiques sont discutées et des conditions favorisantes pour l’enseignement et l’apprentissage en CMP sont identifiées.
