Résumé Cet article analyse les changements que fait subir Michel Tremblay à la comédie antique Lysistrata d'Aristophane, en l'adaptant, en 1968, pour le public québécois. Tout en restant fidèle aux grandes lignes de la pièce, il prend en effet des libertés. Sur le plan formel, il apporte des modifications aux choeurs et épure la pièce de son langage grivois. Sur le plan du contenu, il lui donne un caractère plus sombre que l'original et, en présentant une vision homosexuelle, il apporte un point de vue pessimiste des relations entre les sexes.
