Abstract
Pour contribuer à l’analyse de la valeur artistique dans le langage de l’interaction, de la convention et de l’information, l’auteur explore les dimensions temporelles de l’évaluation artistique et le mouvement qui va de l’incertitude initiale sur la valeur des oeuvres jusqu’à la stabilisation intertemporelle des estimations. La relation entre la taille d’un marché artistique, la vitesse d’évaluation des créations et l’obsolescence des innovations rythmant le cours de la production est au centre de l’analyse, qui prend appui sur l’exemple de la création musicale savante, et de son opposition avec la création populaire, et montre notamment comment l’institution d’un patrimoine d’oeuvres classiques agit sur l’appréciation des modernes.
