Abstract
Examinant les figures de l’intellectuel et du savant en milieufrancophone minoritaire, l’auteur en brosse un tableau àla fois critique et constructif. Prenant exemple de la situation quiprévaut dans l’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick, etaprès avoir constaté le peu d’intérêtque cette question suscite généralement, il cherche,d’une part, à rendre compte des formes dedépendance scientifique et intellectuelle qui prévalentencore dans les milieux francophones minoritaires et, d’autrepart, à saisir à travers deux figures opposées del’intellectuel et du savant – celle d’hier etcelle d’aujourd’hui – les limites et lespossibilités de celle-ci et de celle-là et leurportée actuelle.
