Abstract
Le transport est un service de consommation intermédiaire. Il constitue de ce fait un auxiliaire de l’activité professionnelle des individus, de leurs loisirs et du système de production dans lequel ils évoluent. Ce faisant, il est important de comprendre les déterminants de la mobilité des personnes pour pouvoir en déduire leurs besoins en transport. Dans cet article, nous nous attarderons plus spécifiquement aux déterminants de la mobilité des travailleurs. L’objectif est double : étudier les patrons de mobilité quotidienne des travailleurs vers les espaces industriels spécialisés de la région métropolitaine de Montréal et analyser l’accessibilité en transport en commun de ces mêmes espaces. Cette recherche s’appuie sur les données de l’enquête origine-destination 2003 ainsi que sur l’offre des réseaux de transport collectif, tous deux de la région métropolitaine de Montréal.
