Abstract
Les études de Michel de Certeau sur la mystique ont débouché sur une réflexion sur la pratique de l’histoire et le statut de l’historien. Cette réflexion a mené, à son tour, vers des interrogations d’ordre épistémologique sur l’articulation de la pensée et de l’action. Elle est élaborée par de Certeau et mise dans la perspective d’une approche anthropologique du quotidien. Il n’hésite pas à parler « des histoires du quotidien » (l’ensemble des pratiques fortuites exercées par les acteurs sociaux), de tout ce qu’il y a d’ordinaire dans l’action humaine. Son entreprise n’est pas la quête du sens, mais l’examen attentif de ce qui se fait et se défait dans les pratiques quotidiennes. Les mots employés désignent souvent des formes de résistance face au pouvoir impérieux de l’ordre social : braconnage, tactique, ruse, perruque, etc. Ces arts de faire « tacticiens » renvoient à une poétique de l’agir articulée sur les pratiques sociales.
