Abstract
Objectif : l’article vise à replacer dans le contexte clinique et psychopathologique les principaux résultats des études empiriques de l’estime de soi dans le trouble déficitaire de l’attention-hyperactivité (TDAH). Méthode : analyse systématique de la littérature empirique et présentation des analyses intermédiaires d’une étude en cours. Résultats : Les études empiriques chez le garçon montrent soit une surévaluation des compétences scolaires, soit une baisse de l’estime de soi, en particulier de l’autoévaluation des attitudes et comportements sociaux, résultat confirmé par notre étude. Discussion : replacée dans le contexte clinique et éclairée par une réflexion psychodynamique, la surestimation des compétences scolaires et cognitives relève probablement de défenses narcissiques au sens d’O. Kernberg. L’appréciation négative de ses capacités sociales semble en revanche en phase avec les appréciations des adultes. Conclusion : nos résultats préliminaires confirment l’atteinte de l’estime de soi dans le TDAH.
