Cet article examine l'oeuvre encore peu étudiée de Patrick Straram et l'apport de sa contribution dans le mouvement de la contre-culture montréalaise des années soixante. Sur la base de l'analyse d'un manuscrit inédit, La veuve blanche et noire un peu détournée, conçu à partir du livre de Ramón Gómez de la Serna La veuve blanche et noire, une lecture « situationniste » de sa production littéraire est proposée. Un bref survol de sa vie et de son oeuvre montre qu'en dépit de son échec à introduire l'Internationale situationniste au Québec avec son Cahier pour un paysage à inventer, il demeura fidèle aux principes de cette avant-garde iconoclaste qui, avant de se saborder, dénonça la « Société du spectacle » décrite par Guy Debord et avec qui Straram a entretenu une correspondance. Suite au récent regain d'intérêt pour ce mouvement dont certaines prédictions se sont avérées étrangement prophétiques, l'oeuvre de Patrick Straram mérite d'être abordée dans cette perspective qui fait de lui le principal, sinon le seul représentant de l'Internationale situationniste au Québec.
