Abstract

This paper proposes an observer design methodology for a class of switched nonlinear systems with Lipschitz nonlinearity. Firstly, asymptotic observers for each subsystem are developed, where observer gain matrix can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), then an estimated state updated relation is given to guarantee the convergence of estimated state error for the whole switched nonlinear systems. The proposed observer for switched nonlinear system is composed of the subsystem observers and the updated relations. Finally, the simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the approach proposed in this paper.
