Chiralitätstransfer von chiralen auf achirale Moleküle kann durch Wasserstoffbrücken vermittelt werden. In ihrer Zuschrift auf S. 2127 ff. bestimmen Y. Xu und C. Merten mithilfe von Matrixisolations-Schwingungszirkulardichroismus-Spektroskopie die spektralen Signaturen des Chiralitätstransfers von Milchsäuremethylester auf Ammoniak. Entsprechende Daten sind nicht in Lösung erfassbar, weil Ammoniak unter diesen Bedingungen sofort protoniert würde. (Graphik: W. Jäger)
