Abstract
Dans Agamemmnon 104–263, le chœur relate les événements qui se sont déroulés à Aulis. Nous proposons une nouvelle lecture de ce passage et avançons plusieurs nouvelles interprétations syntaxique, sémantique et mythologique. Il en résulte pour la pièce et toute la trilogie des implications poétiques, dramaturgiques, morales et théologiques. Nous étayons ici des arguments que nous avions déjà invoqués en 1979 en posant en prémisse que le discours attribué à Calchas (aux vers 123–125) continue pendant tout l’< hymne à Zeus > et jusqu’à la finale au vers 183. Ce discours ne connaît qu’une brève interruption aux vers 157–158.
