Abstract
La participation des femmes au développement des villes et la prise en considération de leurs besoins particuliers sont à l'ordre du jour des préoccupations internationales, particulièrement depuis le Sommet des villes («Habitat II»). Le Réseau international femmes et ville a vu le jour dans ce contexte et son développement s'inscrit à l'intérieur des grands objectifs mondiaux liés à l'égalité entre hommes et femmes. Le but de cet article est de situer les actions amorcées dans les suites d'Habitat II, de dégager quelques enjeux stratégiques, comme celui de l'application de l'approche différenciée selon les sexes dans les politiques et pratiques institutionnelles, et d'entrevoir, dans ce contexte, les perspectives d'action des Québécoises, sur le plan tant local qu'international.
