No Canadian affiliation. An affiliation-only frame, the usual design, would never have seen this work. It is one of the works that make the case for inverting the frame.

Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

First-principles calculations of the electronic structure are performed for cubic BaTbO 3 using the plane-wave pseudopotential method within the framework of density functional theory and using the generalized gradient approximation for the exchange-correlation potential. Our calculations show that cubic BaTbO 3 is metallic, and that this metallic character is mainly governed by the Tb 4f electrons and the hybridization between the Tb 5d and O 2p states. From the analysis of the density of states, band structure, and charge density contour, we find that the chemical bonding between Tb and O is covalent while that between Ba and TbO 3 is ionic. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
