Abstract
La production historienne courante portant sur le Québec est l'une des facettes et des expressions centrales de l'entreprise de redéfinition identitaire du sujet québécois. Dans cet article, on cherche à cerner les paramètres généraux du grand récit collectif actuellement raconté aux Québécois cherchant à en savoir un peu plus sur eux-mêmes, sur leurs origines et sur leur cheminement historique. Cette démarche nous permet de pénétrer au cœur du processus de reconstruction du Nous-Autres les Québécois et d'en mesurer les effets pour ce qui est de la réinterprétation des grands épisodes de l'histoire québécoise et du remodelage du parcours historique de cette communauté communicationnelle.
