Abstract
L’étude des propriétés distributionnelles des adverbes de phrase et des adverbes de verbe montre clairement l’existence de différentes classes de prédicats adverbiaux. Ces différentes classes correspondent en fait à des structures d’arguments distinctes qui font appel à des catégories sémantiques telles que « proposition », « événement » et « action ». La structure d’arguments des adverbes nous permet de rendre compte de leur distribution syntaxique particulière sans qu’il soit nécessaire de recourir à des mécanismes spéciaux de sous-catégorisation lexicale.
