Abstract
Because of a location conversion error, values of predicted deuterium in precipitation (dD p ) obtained from G. Bowen's Web site (http://www.waterisotopes.org[accessed 29 December 2005]) were incorrect.Most importantly, our conclusions stemming from the original data and analyses do not change, but the corrected statistical results and revised Fig. 3, which appeared on p. 1399 of the original article, are reported below.Likewise, some of the older location-specific dD p values used from Hobson and Wassenaar (1997) contained the same error, so these adjustments were made and incorporated into the revised Fig. 3.
