Abstract
La vie sexuelle des aînés constitue un objet d’intervention sexologique qui devrait bénéficier des éclairages de travaux de recherche. Qu’en est-il des études réalisées par des chercheurs québécois sur cette thématique ? Le présent texte présente un inventaire des recherches sur la question de la sexualité des personnes âgées menées au Québec. Les écrits recensés sont regroupés à partir du modèle théorique de la qualité de vie sexuelle qui comprend le bien-être biosexuel, psychosexuel et sociosexuel. Suite à ce bilan, trois champs d’étude sont proposés comme suit : l’évaluation des besoins sexuels, de groupes particuliers et de la formation des professionnels. The sex life of the elderly constitutes an object of sexological intervention that should benefit the understanding of research studies. What of the studies carried out by Québécois researchers regarding this thematic? The present text presents an inventory of research conducted in Québec regarding the sexuality of the elderly. The reviewed writings are regrouped according to the theoretic model of the quality of sexual life, which includes biosexual, psychosexual and sociosexual well-being. Following this assessment, three fields of study are proposed as follow: the evaluation of sexual needs, of particular groups and of the training of professionals. La vida sexual de las personas mayores constituye un objeto de intervención sexológica que debería beneficiarse de la clarificación de los trabajos de investigación. Qué dicen al respecto los estudios realizados por investigadores quebequenses sobre dicha temática? El presente texto aporta un inventario de las investigaciones sobre el tema de la sexualidad de las personas de una cierta edad realizados en Québec. Los escritos censados están reagrupados a partir del modelo teórico de la calidad de vida sexual que comprende el bienestar biosexual, psicosexual y sociosexual. Después de éste balance, tres campos de estudio se proponen: la evaluación de las necesidades sexuales, de grupos particulares y de la formación de los profesionales.
