Abstract
The purpose of the article is to disclose the objective laws of professional and personal development of studentsthrough the example of students of institutions of higher education in the Ulyanovsk region. The research hasbeen done within the nomothetic approach. The process of professional development and specific features ofstudents, such as perfectionism and conformism have been described in the article.
