Abstract
Cet article présente les résultats d’une étude sur les relations entre la gestion des effectifs et les caractéristiques structurelles et comportementales dans les petites et moyennes entreprises industrielles. L'analyse est effectuée à partir d’un sous-échantillon (356 entreprises) du Panel des PMI lorraines ** (Région française du Nord-Est). Partant de l’idée que la gestion des effectifs est une pratique effective en milieu PME, les résultats obtenus mettent en évidence la prédominance de la dimension structurelle dans les pratiques de gestion des effectifs ; on notera l'incidence forte du degré de maturité de la PMI. Associé à la maturité, la taille et, en particulier, la technologie permettent de former un tryptique déterminant dans la compréhension des phénomènes de Gestion des Ressources Humaines en milieu PMI.
