Abstract
We study the behavior of a quantum gyroscope, that is, a quantum system which singles out a direction in space in order to measure certain properties of incoming particles such as the orientation of their spins. We show that repeated Heisenberg interactions of the gyroscope with several incoming spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ particles provides a simple model of decoherence which exhibits both relaxation and dephasing. Focusing on the semiclassical limit, we derive equations of motion for the evolution of a coherent state and investigate the evolution of a superposition of such states. While a coherent state evolves on a time scale given by the classical ratio of the angular momentum of the gyroscope to that of the incoming particles, dephasing acts on a much shorter time scale that depends only on the angular difference of the states in the superposition.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
