Abstract
Avant toute chose, cette enquête entend constituer une introduction à l'œuvre d'Antoine Volodine, et vise à faire mieux connaître ses textes intensément novateurs. J'espère également qu'elle pourra dans quelque mesure contribuer à faciliter leur compréhension. Dans ce but, l'analyse de la notion volodinienne de " post-exotisme " tend donc à dégager les implications aussi bien esthétiques qu'épistémologiques de cette somme littéraire d'un type inédit. Partant d'une étude immanente des procédés utilisés, principalement le métatextuel mais aussi l'hétéronymie, le cryptage, l'écriture sous contrainte ou encore l'intertextualité, je m'efforce de montrer comment, à la différence des principaux écrivains modernistes, loin d'utiliser ces ressources pour proclamer l'essence fictive de ses textes, Antoine Volodine les met à contribution afin de brouiller délibérément les frontières entre littérature et réalité - et lance par là-même un défi ironique aux tentatives pour penser, avec quelque assurance, son oeuvre de l'extérieur.
