Abstract
Despite current appearances, global management can only be achieved through multinational cooperation, and not some form of hegemony. The future of the global community would best be served if internationalists started, now, the process of reforming international institutions so their effectiveness could be improved. This study focuses on how to promote a process of innovation in international institutions, post‐September 11, 2001, by analysing their global environment, their origins and evolution, and by suggesting new techniques for their transformation.
