Abstract
Résumé Plusieurs préjugés existent au sujet des jeunes pères. On les perçoit comme étant irresponsables et désintéressés de leur paternité. Cette perception négative est encore plus présente lorsque ces hommes évoluent dans des situations de précarité au plan de l’emploi et qu’ils ne bénéficient pas de revenu stable. Le but de cet article est de donner la parole à 17 jeunes pères qui se prononcent sur l’impact de la paternité sur leur vie et sur leurs relations avec leurs enfants. Ces témoignages sont issus d’une étude qualitative auprès de jeunes hommes ayant suivi un programme d’insertion socioprofessionnelle.
