Abstract
Saint-Exupéry laisse dans Citadelle, son ultime ouvrage, un art poétique riche et cohérent. Il nous y livre ses pensées sur le sens du métier d'écrivain, tributaire de la solidarité qui relie l'écrivain aux autres hommes et consistant à " inventer " des concepts capables d'enrichir leur vision du monde tout en résolvant des contradictions existantes. Il développe parallèlement une réflexion poussée sur le fonctionnement de l'écriture, ses ressorts, ses composants et leurs mécanismes, afin de permettre au mieux la transmission de ce message. Saint-Exupéry aboutit enfin à l'idée que le style est une véritable méthode de compréhension du monde.
