Abstract
L'immigration latino-américaine au Québec date surtout du milieu des années soixante-dix. À partir de données statistiques et d'entrevues au sein des différentes communautés hispanophones de Montréal, l'article propose un aperçu d'ensemble sur les conditions d'émigration, d'installation et d'intégration à la société québécoise. Le cas des Chiliens et celui des Colombiens est analysé plus en détail. Les premiers sont les plus nombreux, les mieux intégrés économiquementet les plus dynamiques socio-politiquement. Seconds en importance numérique, les Colombiens se sont aussi dirigés proportionnellement plus vers le Québec que vers le reste du Canada; ils représentent une immigration de type strictement économique. Dans l'ensemble, les Latino-Américains sont en voie d'intégration à la majorité francophone; ils ne forment pas une communauté latino-américaine globale.
