Abstract
Sont traquées dans ce texte les traces d'une périodicité de la série les Ailes du Nord , dont les six romans ont paru de 1959 à 1962. Sont d'abord notées les conséquences d'une précipitation de la rédaction : les contradictions, les approximations et certaines incohérences. Ces observations conduisent à la description du fortuit dans l'invention des histoires, dont les équivalents thématiques sont le destin, le devoir et le vital. Il estpar ailleurs remarquable qu'un texte préalable - documentaire- alimente l'imaginaire des récits, dont la Loi est l'équivalent thématique, plutôt infuse que transmise, imaginaire dont est progressivement dépouillé le héros jeune, avec délaissement de l'aventure individuelle, affirmation de l'entreprise commerciale et constat d'une contradiction inhérente à la mission nationale des pilotes de brousse sur un territoire qu'occupent aussi les Amérindiens.
